- Does outsourcing mean losing control over the entire project?
- web Design Solutions takes over the responsibility of completing the project with a specified requirement set, budget and schedule defined in the contract. But that does not mean that the customer loses all control and visibility on the project.
There are key phases in a project where customer involvement is mandatory such as requirement finalization / changes, project planning, reviews of work products (optional), acceptance testing, and schedule.
To ensure visibility periodic status reports are sent and status / milestone meetings held. The customer is also free to audit the development process at WEB DESIGN SOLUTIONS INC. at any point of implementation to ensure that the contractual terms are followed.
web Design Solutions will also sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), to protect your intellectual property and maintain confidential information. This is normally part of the project development contract.

WEB DESIGN SOLUTIONS INC. operates exclusive development centers with dedicated staff and infrastructure for many organizations. We have a customer retention rate approaching 90%.
- How big is your team?
- WEB DESIGN SOLUTIONS INC. employs 25+ software engineers at its development facilities in India. In addition. The engineers are experienced in multi-cultural, multi-lingual work environments.
- Can you continue doing my project from any stage?
- Yes, we do undertake projects from any stage, though we prefer involvement starting at an early stage.
- How do you monitor the time spent on a project?
- The project schedule and plan is submitted for your review up front. Details of deployment and effort will be included in our weekly status reports. In turnkey projects that we usually execute, the customer need not worry about the effort deployed since he / she needs to pay only the original contracted amount.
- Do I need supply project managers?
- All our projects include project management. We have a staff of senior project managers with wide ranging experience who are capable of handling complex projects. Many of them are MBAs / PMPs.
Website Maintenance FAQ:
- How will page changes be counted?
- Changes are counted per page, not per change within a page.
- What if I find a typo or a formatting error?
- Re-work of this nature is not considered a page change and will be fixed immediately. Rewording of text is considered a page change. Please make sure that you are happy with the text before you send it.
- What is included in a text change?
- Sentences or paragraphs of text on a single page. This includes removing entire text and replacing it with current text. Changing text on several pages, such as changes to navigation bars, are not considered a single text change. Such changes will be quoted.
- If I change my mind and want to add or change text to the same page later that month, how does this work?
- Your additional change will be considered a new page change.
- If I don't use my number of page changes this month will they carry over to next month?
- No. Page maintenance is not cumulative.
- I need new images. Does this count toward maintenance?
- Usually no. Images come in different sizes and shapes. Designing an image takes much longer than simply replacing text. If you need new images or want an image changed, ask us. There may be times that we can use your page maintenance to cover the image design.

Hire Programmers FAQ:
- What is the skill set of web designers & programmers?
- Depending on your requirements, we can accordingly provide resources which are fairly skilled in those areas. Typical skill set of programmers can be ASP.NET, PHP, MY SQL, MS SQL, ORACLE, Visual Basic, Visual C++, Java, etc... while for designers, it can be HTML, DHTML, Dream weaver, Photoshop, Flash, etc...
- Is hiring a team cheaper or getting a fixed price project to be executed will be cheaper?
- Hiring a team can be a lot cheaper if the project requirements are not clear and are subtle to changes.
However if the requirements are clear, you can go for a fixed price quote so that you can finish the projected in a fixed timeline. If you are expecting any repeat business/work, it is advisable to hire a team.

- I am not sure how many hours will my project take to execute. In that case how do I determine how many hours should I buy?
- In that case, you can always send us your requirement specification. We will analyze your needs and shall give you a fixed price for the project once the scope of work is freezed and then shall accordingly ask you to buy the number of hours.
- What is the startup process?
- You need to first decide how many hours you will be needing for your project and need to accordingly make the payment. We will hire / allot from our pool of resources to you who will be working solely for your work that will be assigned by you.
- How can I utilize my pending hours if my project gets completed before schedule?
- Since you buy hours on monthly basis at the time of hiring a resource, it is possible that either a project can finish before time or after time.
Your un-utilized hours can be used effectively by using it for next month. It will be carry forwarded provided the number of hours does not exceed 50.
Also we do not charge for extra hours to the tune of 15% of the total hours if the project lasts a little long then the number of hours you bought.
- Since you buy hours on monthly basis at the time of hiring a resource, it is possible that either a project can finish before time or after time.
- If I want to hire a team of two web designers and two programmers, can I form two separate team having a web designer & a programmer in each team working on different projects?
- Yes, definitely. Once you decide that you will be needing two designers and two programmers, its upto you on how to utilize them to the maximum. You can form a team of two each and if you wish, you can also shift a designer/programmer from one team to another.
- How can I get the progress report of the work assigned by me?
- Your team will be asked to send a daily report in which they will be mentioning the milestones achieved on that day, what were the technical problems that are solved and which one requires R & D.
- What if the programmer or a designer is slow in his work and takes more time to finish the work?
- Generally this does not happen since the milestones are decided based on mutual understanding between you and your team. Also you are updated daily by way of status report.
- How safe will my business concepts, information, etc... be?
- When you decide to hire a person/team, we ask the resources to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement. All the work that is done/executed, all the source files, etc... will be your property only and under no circumstances, your data/information is disclosed.
- What happens if the person working on my project suddenly quits your company?
- Every employee has a one month's notice period before quitting the company. The project manager (Yes, every programmer working for you has a project manager who is continuously monitoring the programmer), immediately assigns a new person to you team. The project manager also ensures that the new person gets all the background knowledge of the project and becomes productive ASAP. All this is transparent to you.
- What if the hired employee leaves? What about the knowledge transfer?
- Our company policy gives us flexibility to cope up with the above situation. All the employees are required to give a month's notice before resigning. During that course of time, a competent replacement is arranged by us for easy knowledge transfer so that your project/work does not suffer and is executed as per the schedules.
- If I am not satisfied with the work, can I change my designer/programmer?
- Generally it will not happen. However if such circumstances do come, we will arrange for the replacement.
