One of the first mistakes most beginner marketers make is trying to jump into a crowded, competitive niche where they'll get eaten alive.This usually discourages the new marketer and prevents them from trying again. Since the "teaching parrot to talk" niche isn't as competitive, you don't have to worry about fending off hordes of competition.
That's the beauty of niche affiliate marketing. Now, how do you search for products you can promote via niche affiliate marketing?
Think long and hard about what your interests are. Everyone has knowledge that people would pay to learn-knowledge you can sell by nice affiliate marketing. If you cannot think of anything, then ask your partner, your parents and your friends. For example, is your brother a ventriloquist? This niche is definitely off the beaten path, and is a candidate to be exploited via niche affiliate marketing.
Another way to get ideas for niche affiliate marketing is going into a bookstore and looking at the magazines. This is a literal goldmine for niches you can exploit via niche affiliate marketing.
So why try to compete in huge niches such as weight loss, dating, golf, and self improvement when you can sell "low hanging fruit" via niche affiliate marketing?
As you succeed in niche affiliate marketing and your confidence and skills increase, then you can try to conquer these huge niches.
But, until then, it is better to utilize niche affiliate marketing as an introduction into the wild world of internet marketing.
